AK HEALEY is the new solo project from Ashen Keilyn, former front person and songwriter of NYC indie band SCOUT.
A Michigan native, Ashen grew up knowing she wanted one thing in life & that was to pursue a music career...so she did and here we are.
Ashen's debut CD with her band Scout, "It seemed like a good idea at the time," (recorded in a living room in Queens) was the 2nd most added on college radio, garnering the young band stellar press in everything from Billboard to Teen Beat. Ashen and Scout even appeared on an episode of HBO's The Sopranos and NBC's Late Night With Conan OBrien.
Ashen's music has been featured in numerous films and television programs including "The Sopranos," (HBO) "Buffy," (FOX) "Felicity" (WB & soundtrack album on Hollywood Records), "Judging Amy," (CBS) "Providence," (NBC) "Panic," (Miramax) and "Wasteland," (Showtime) as well as the upcoming film "Jimmy & Judy," due out next year. Her voice can also be heard on numerous commercials including Cheerios, Kohls, Nivea for Men, and the US Womens Soccer Association.
AK HEALEY's much anticipated debut CD is due out in 2007. In the meantime, AK is performing at colleges and clubs throughout the United States.
